Subject: silent hill stuff for poser??

 anyone know of any good props that would make a nice *silent hill * feel to a scene in poser?

 i know theres probably lots in the marketplace, but im broke  , only nuff for my bills and such. so...?? :D thnx for any tips:D

silent hill, the movie/game. :P hehe. buildings, clothes,  monsters etc...  ole misty ,town,  weird stuff going on. etc...:P

Do you have some links to some examples? I've never heard of "Silent Hill" either.

Got some nice grungy looking walls in this....

slap some graffiti on them . or use the free bonus pack that features dirty wall floor tiles with blood splatters. Some walls look like a nasty has been capped and some floors feature drag marks.  Perfect for this.

but  does it involve animation or ?? .:P cuz i suck at that .lol.  but im good at  makin  v3 's faces look  varied etc.. and pleenty of ideas:) bthw.. since i  cant buy stuff i want yet, i made a scene in bryce 5.5.  and  im using ds :(yup) to  export my figures to it) . im trying that in poser 5 as well:P:)   again, thnx ,ghelmer. cool pics!:)

Nurse Demon & Brookhaven Hospital I made in Max, the texturing sux on the hospital but c'est la vie!  Like everything I do in Poser it's a W.I.P.!!!!   Sigh!

The movie looks like it's going to be "DOPE" (as the kids these days say!! LOL!)  Cool thing is all the monsters look like they should from the games BUT the main character is a woman and in the first Silent Hill game (second & fourth as well) the main character were guys and the movie is based on the first game!  At least it has Sean Bean!!  He's pretty cool!!!  Also another cool thing about it is that it wasmade in Toronto! 

Knife?  In Silent Hill 2 where the Nurse Demon is from she had a rusty lead pipe that she whacked poor James about with!  LOL!

Hey grylin...  hows this...  modelled in MAX and I'll add some doors and maybe some debris sorta stuff (ala ratracer! 😊 ) and then retexture in poser and hopefully this'll start ya off...  I'm enjoying modelling again as I haven't in ages and I'm stuck at home sick this week so it's occupying my time along with gaming when I'm not sleeping on the couch!!  I'm hoping to have at least a generic hallway done by tomorrow and it's all yours!!  And anyone else that wants it!

the movie has me in an uproar too, was a great set of games. Perhaps a few animation renderings set to some music is to order hehe.

ooo.... okay I admit it :biggrin: the words 'silent hill' lured me out of my lurking :laugh: (i'm shy)

I haven't done any silent hill inspired arts yet... although I did do an fatal frame (project zero) and resident evil inspired images. I guess silent hill is next on my list of horror based images.

I remember that As shanim has a freebie of a bloodied wall and chains that might look good too for the alternative hill.

Welcome!   I did quite like how everything was only retextured in SH2 to give it the "alternate - EVIL" look but I also liked how they did it in SH3 with the animated walls and stuff...  remember the merry go round horse's head??  LOL!!  Gonna have to replay number 3 after I finish Tomb Raider Legend!!!  (which is an awesome game BTW!!  Lara back to her gaming roots finally after the last 4 crummy games!!!)

Yeah that other world evil look is pretty cool. I think it's the silly sounds that come out of nowhere that sometimes creep me out when i play the game. Not something to play in the dark. The silly endings crack me up :lol:

I never understood what those baby ghost things where in the first game in the school. 😕 I couldn't find anything out on the internet about them either.... they were weird squeaky things that ran away and fell over. maybe you could enlighten me on those things XD although i had the pal version of the game and it had monster cut from it :crying:

Also I just thought of it.. Richard T has a freebie on his page http://www.poseruniverse.com/Models/Models3.html the industrial platforms could be used if rusted up a bit :-)

Sweet props!!  Good find!!  Some of those ones would be good if recreating the end fight with the Maria Demon!!!

Also I never understood a whole heck of a lot about Silent Hill (1) especially the midgets or baby ghosts or whatever the heck they were!!!  The first game just didn't do it for me so I only got 3/4's through before giving up...  Now Silent Hill 2, I have completed ALL the endings (many times) and SH3 I've played through 3 or 4 times...  SH4 only once but I suppose I'm due to replay it sometime...  I have way too many games on the go right now!!!  Also that's ok cuz I'm home sick this week so I've been sleeping, Posering, and gaming!!  I really hate being sick but the posering and video games kinda help!!  :biggrin:

SH1 is a bit weird... doesn't really come togeather till the end although I'd like to see how the movie pulls this off. I haven't got round to playing SH4 yet ^_^; i swear it's on my to do list along with Devil May Cry 3 and some others I haven't had a chance to play. :laugh:

Get well soon... although maybe you don't want to get that well till you caught up on your games.  :m_laugh:

Let me know how the SH project goes.. i'm very curious. (or just nosy) 😄

We need a good Red Pyramid (Pyramid Head) model. Perhaps for use with M3. The helm should be based off of the movie, 'cause that's one kickass design.

Yeah, the Pyramid Head prop I made sucked (in one of the pics on the first page of this thread) and I plan on doing it over soon.  And I did use M3 in the pic I did!!  I'll try to get on it this week!
