Subject: Is there a standard on the light setup when I make a texture?

I have been working on this texture for a long time, I have around 200meg of different variations.
When I apply different lights I see different things wrong and go back and fix them.
What I want to know is there a standard on the light setup when I make a texture.
I hope this made sence.
