Was using Poser 4 and have upgraded to P6 now, am real impressed by the cloth and hair rooms not to mention all the wonderful folks offering up freebies and helpful information.

Can you import a Poser Figure directly into Bryce 5 ? If so is there any problems like texture of characters hair.   Or do you render in Poser and then cut and past into Bryce ?

Do not own Bryce at the moment, however have a super offer to buy it.  Any and all information would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

Marty

You have to export an obj file from Poser and import it into Bryce.

Vue works a lot better with Poser if you want to spend the money.  For me it was worth it.

I used to dispute this, but I now agree; particularly post-Poser 4.

You may encounter problems with dynamic hair & clothes as I did. I wanted so much to do work with Poser 6 & Bryce but these problems have kept me away from Bryce for a while. I'm sure there's a way around it but I'm too busy with just Poser 6 at the moment to figure it out. Apparently there's also transparency issues (like eye lashes, brows etc), but I'm sure the more knowledgeable people on here can give you instructions on how to deal with this.

When bryce has problems with poser hair, you can use photoshop on your rendering . Infact,  bryce doesn't apply transparency map in the right way, with photoshop you can adjust it.

OK, correct two things here.

  1. Bryce does not handle and will not handle dynamic hair. Don't even try. Stick to transmapped hair.

  2. Bryce handles transparency for transmapped hair perfectly well. It's only dynamic hair it can't manage.
