Since the change in the Forums base, I now have to sign in each time I go to a forum AFTER I've signed in to get to the community.  Is this a programming error or something?

Some other members have already pointed out this issue in other threads (I did it too in one of them).

As for answers I have read some different ones.
The only answer I did understand was that, for the time being, there are two different servers and you have to login in each time we jump from one 'place' to 'another' within Renderosity.

The last word is indeed from any Adm.

You should only have to log in to each side once per visit. You can jump back and forth between the Community and Marketplace without having to log in each time as long as you click the "remember me" and be sure to accept Renderosity cookies

This double log in is only temporary until the entire community is converted over to PHP.

iI just fixed this prob on my box. Seems I had a BHO, which I got rid of but in the process it reset my security settings in Options>Internet Options>Security  to High and I keep it at LowMedium...I reset that and re-logged in and tickety boo all is well in Renrerosity Land again

 

Once in a while I look around,
I see a sound
and try to write it down
Sometimes they come out very soft

I'm clicked on remember me, I have cookies. And every time I get an email notification, I have to relog in, even if there are 3 or 4 in a row. And a new problem turned up today. I had to use mozilla to have word wrap and a few other things work right, rather than netscape. But when i got here today, imagine my surprise when, using mozilla, I tried to reply to a post and it won't allow me to type. Will NOT put a curser in the reply box. If I want to reply to a post I have to copy and paste the URL in netscape and use netscape to type because I can no longer type in mozilla. What fun PHP is. and you people wonder why I hate it. So far it's nothing but solid problems, and I don't see them getting better.

Sorry you are having issues bonestructure. Its not "bullshit" because I've heard no one else complain that if they click the remember me and accept RR cookies having to keep logging in. It has to be something on your end because if it was truly "bullshit" others wouldn't be able to stay logged in either. Sorry that things don't seem to be working well for you but I'm not sure what other suggestions I can give to you....

How long did you wait before you clicked the reply box bone?....I have that happen to me just a couple times..and it was usually after a period of time....me reading posts and so on..then all I did was click refresh and everything was fine...

That being said however, on the old forums..if i started to type a reply, and took too long to type it {left the keyboard for some reason} and finished typing later, then upon posting it, it would disappear and I would have to do it all over again....I learned very quickly to copy and paste after a refresh of the page....

Its not the forums I dont think.....

I didn't program renderosity right. I so fell down on my job. And as far as cookies, I have 3 from renderosity, RR visit, Username and Password. Sounds to me like those should work. My computer is not set up in any weird way, it's just normal. I had NO problems before this switch to PHP, now I have nothing BUT problems. Oh yeah, and if it's something on MY end, then why do I have no problems at all with at least 2 other PHP boards I go to. ONLY renderosity gives me problems.

Seriously though, I must agree with bone on this one, he is NOT the only one experiencing that problem when the try to come here.

Personally I'd like to know if the rest of the sites going to be moved over soon too, I'm tired of logging into renderosity sixteen million times everytime I try to visit the site.

 

P.S. the font styles, and text color options are not working for me either. All I see when I attempt to change those options in a post I am making is black text.
