Someone asked about it over at that other place. Since I answered it there, I have to answer it here to keep the universe in balance. Hopefully the minor detail that no one here asked, will be out weighed by the fact that I got the pictures to show full size so you don't have to click on them to read the text.

Uh yeah. Just 2 little red x's.

This is not my "second childhood". I'm not finished with the first one yet.

Thanks xenic101. That second one is very interesting, as it specifies what many have learned instinctively about falloff.

I agree about the usefulness of user adjustable settings for metaballs in Bryce6. I guess that metaballs, like so many other things in Bryce5 (trees, TA, etc) had to be stopped at a certain level of development in order to fit in the release schedule.

huh? there's things like strength and falloff with metaballs?
Ang runs off to check this in Bryce

Thanks for the explainations Xenic.

Sweet notes in the second image, don't forget folks, if you want to strengthen an individual meta you can duplicate it. In the attached image, I've emphasized the blue meta ball by just duplicating it, can be damn useful when you're got a load of metas in a scene
