Someone asked about it over at that other place. Since I answered it there, I have to answer it here to keep the universe in balance. Hopefully the minor detail that no one here asked, will be out weighed by the fact that I got the pictures to show full size so you don't have to click on them to read the text.

Thanks xenic101. That second one is very interesting, as it specifies what many have learned instinctively about falloff.
I agree about the usefulness of user adjustable settings for metaballs in Bryce6. I guess that metaballs, like so many other things in Bryce5 (trees, TA, etc) had to be stopped at a certain level of development in order to fit in the release schedule.
