Hi Chris,

... although I do not  know what contest are you talking about ... this looks GOOD 👍

Its a local portrait contest for Aussie residents. Olive Cotton Award. Where i get photos printed they handed me a form and told me to enter. So after working out what to do have come up with this portrait.

Instead of B&W this is the coloured one i like. What do you think Gerald?

gwfa posted Wed, 26 April 2006 at 9:49 PM

of the 2 versions posted here I prefer this one - mostly because of its clarity and because colouring still preserves kind of b/w character. it's hard to say only based on the impression via the screen of an ibook - but i dare to choose this way...

How about a "selective color" version?

Question the question. Answer the question. Question the answer...

I wish I knew what I was gonna say :oP

Ah: but what colors would you select?

I like the facial expressions on the first one but like the clairity of the second

For what it's worth, I laso like the second one more. Maybe you could desaturate it a bit more?

I too like the naturalness of the second a bit more. Perhaps a very lightly saturated sepia version from that one? I feel it kind of gives it a sort of "Calvin Klien ad" appeal.

hello Chris!  I like the compo on a first one, everybody looking in a camera, but you repositioned a models on a second one, where I like a color choice!

good luck and let us know how it goes! seeya

Chris, I do like Kort's (aka TwoPints) 'version'.
He enhanced in a perfect way ( IMHO )  your excellent photo.
