Anyone want to take a stab at identifying this person? I was going for a specific person and I'm curious to know if I'm in the ballpark or have missed it altogether. Thanks for playing!

Looks a bit like Vin Diesel, but, needs more coarseness in the features.

Dave posted Thu, 27 April 2006 at 2:49 PM

Nope. Not Vin Diesel. Guy has hair, I just haven't added it yet.

Acadia posted Thu, 27 April 2006 at 3:00 PM

Nick Cage?

Bruce Willis?

I know it's not  Viggo Mortensen   :b_drool:  :b_drool:

EDIT:  Ooops, you said this person has hair..... so that rules out Brucey. He's bald these days.

Try recent controversial movie ;)

Alan Alda.

Sorry, I know it isn't.

Recent "controversial movie" would suggest Tom Hanks but that's not even clese so I guess I'm sunk.

Alan Alda is still me best guess.

I haven't watched the movie, but my guess would be one of the guys in "Brokeback Mountain" ... just looked up the name. Jake Gyllenhaal.

That would be my next guess seeing "controversial" was mentioned.

First thing i thought when i saw it was Nicholas Cage.... ummmm... er... nope can't think of anyone else.

Miss Nancy posted Thu, 27 April 2006 at 4:52 PM

alan alda isn't that butch, but then neither were either of those fake cowboys in the "controversial movie" IMVHO. the only controversy there was maybe that jay leno overdid it with the jokes, as usual.

LostinSpaceman posted Thu, 27 April 2006 at 5:18 PM

Well he doesn't look like Jake Gyllenhaal or Heath Ledger if you ask me. If that's the look you're going for, Jake's not nearly that defined and neither is Heath these days. I prefer Jake from his Donnie Darko days and Heath looked much better in "A Knight's Tale" or his old TV series "Roar".

He does look closer to Nick Cage who was controversial only when they were trying to cast him as Superman in the new film due out this Spring/Summer.

TrekkieGrrrl posted Thu, 27 April 2006 at 5:55 PM

For Acadia ;o)

The Poser guy DOES look like Nicolas Cage IMO.

Nice to know I'm not the only person who watched that show

LostinSpaceman posted Thu, 27 April 2006 at 9:31 PM

Hehehe... nope you're not. The year "A Knight's Tale" came out I was actually seeing someone who reminded me a lot of Heath with the dreadlocks and all. Of course I watched the show a lot. then  Now... Not so much. The relationship sank like a rock! LOL!

The think I miss the most from my now useless laptop is my desktop wall paper. I had the most yummy image of Viggo on it.

Here's a second shot at it. This one any closer?

Hopefully the image will load this time.  I keep getting told that I'm exceeding the limit but not being told what it is. The file was only 213KB. Geez!

Acadia posted Sat, 29 April 2006 at 11:35 PM

Closer to what? You haven't said who you are trying to create....you've only given a hint.

Between the 2 morphs, I much prefer the first one.  He's yummier :)

Jake Gyllenhaal. Sorry., I've posted this topic on 2 separate forums. I forget which one knows who it is that I'm shooting for.

He has an odd face.  Looks hard to capture.  Not many face on images out there that don't show him brooding or laughing.

Yeah. It wasn't easy. His own website doesn't seem to have any decent pics. I had to go to a fan site page to get what I could. 2 of the images are ones that you just posted.

David

Acadia posted Sun, 30 April 2006 at 12:56 AM

I don't do many morphs because I'm not very good at it yet, but from my untrained eye looking at the second picture:

The tip of his nose needs to be a little bit longer (see bottom row, middle pic, of the images I posted)

His jaw needs to be longer and more triangular.

And it seems his eyes need to be a little more closer together. (If you look at his pictures he has quite a bit of head showing on the lateral side of his eyes. He seems to have an egg shaped  head with the narrow end of the egg pointed down)

It's hard to really say. He seems to have a face that is chameleon and looks different in each picture.

laughs at arcady's quip. the bottom of his face is more pointed than in your version. his chin, and possibly his jaw as well. but he looks good around the eyes, and the nose is almost there!

My initial reaction to the first morph was David Schwimmer from Friends.

You need non smiling photos to really work on a good likeness, the smile poses ruin the main face, and you cannot use a smile photo because the muscles are pulled in a different way from the base figures.

The best figure for face morphing I have found to be David (D3) from DAZ.

His face is looking better (well more like the guy) You've picked a really hard one to do there. I find it hard to even decide if he's good looking or not lol. But you're doing good at getting a likeness of him at any rate! :)

On a side note I think the cheek creases in your guy might be a bit deep yet.

grylin posted Thu, 10 August 2006 at 5:23 PM

very cool morph. me thinks it looks like jake:D

cool;)

Mint3D posted Thu, 10 August 2006 at 5:49 PM

I think he has a bit longer and thinner face yet but you are getting very close allready, it reminded him from the bald picture allready :)
