As far as I know, you should be able to transfer a license to someone. They can have the pc rules, but you can usually transfer a license, just may have to get a form.  Content is a little different than "Licensing" a SW program.

No need to think outside the box....
    Just make it invisible.

Oh, I'm not serious about transferring. The way Eovia/DAZ is going right now, might be smart to own two different copies.

I didn't get a voucher or the other stuff and I think this is the reason: I went to order Hexagon (sometime in the last month). I saw that version was coming. I would have waited, but it said that I could buy 1.1 now and get the new version when it became available, so I went ahead and bought it for $199. DAZ gave the voucher stuff to the people who bought the upgrade. Technically I didn't, so I wonder if DAZ will still let us have it. If they don't I don't think I'll be happy with either DAZ or Eovia. Right now I'm only miffed at Eovia.

I buy a lot of stuff at DAZ, and they've been pretty decent, so I'm hoping I won't get stiffed on this.

Me In Ohio. You don't get anything. But you can aske for a refund. then but the Hex 2 $1.99 or the price of the PC membership and Hex2. Still a lot cheeper than your first purchase.

MeInOhio ( ) posted Sun, 30 April 2006 at 9:22 PM

Is that the offical DAZ position or is it just what you think? I believe I saw where someone else asked for a refund, but Elementis refused to give it.

I did email DAZ but I haven't heard anything back yet.

I don't see how they can justify excluding us. We're entitled to download the program. We received a serial number.

No, It's not what I think. I'm one of the Hex1 get Hex 2 suckers. You will get the DLif you want it but you don't get any of the stuff the so called Hex2 pre order people get. It is better for you te get the refund and buy from Daz.

I phoned Daz and talked with them. They were very helpful with it all.

Ok. Thanks. Has anyone agreed to give you the refund? I would be okay with that. If we weren't going to get the goodies, then a refund would be great. But I'll wait and see what DAZ says.

Well, I heard back from DAZ. First it sounded like they were going to give me the voucher, but then they wrote back and said there was some confusion and only the ones who specifically ordered Hex2 get it. I went to the Eovia site and sent element a request for a refund. I wonder how likely that is? It has been less than a month since I purchased Hex, but I thought I read that they had declined other requests?

I suppose if I get the refund, it will be a better deal than the voucher. I'm already a member of the Platinum club. But this whole situation stinks though. I think.

If all this mess has taught me is to NEVER preorder software again. NEVER! I am not so much disappointed with the DAZ aquisition of Eovia because it seems to been the trend for software companies now, Autodesk/Maya, Adobe/Macromedia, eFrontier/Curious Labs (you cannot count on any company to stick around anymore).

I am very disappointed Hexagon 2 was released so darn many bugs. It seems very half-baked to me.

Well, I got my refund. Thanks, beryid and everyone else.
