finally found out what this APO program really is... Apophysis. You guys really like to keep secrets on a name :P Anywho, after a few hours of just clicking around, I've pretty well got it figured out... but I still don't really have an idea of what to do. The Editor, Adjust, Gradient, ad Mutation dialogs are pretty self explanatory and easy to use. It's a bonus I can throw them on my second monitor with my render window on the main. I looked through some of the tuts from the site, but I also wanted to know what some of you do to make the program work. Not that you have to give up secrets and such, but just some interesting tidbits for a new comer. It has to be more than just point and click... or am I dead on? Thanks in advace for any help.

i find that a lot of the mathmatical significance of the some of variations are lost when the triangle are moved and squished.

check for free parameters in the free section of Renderosity and scripts. then you can adjust the triangles for new variations and also the mutation window. look for "etomchek" home page and she has some awesome scripts available at the bottom of the page

Depending on which version of Apophysis you have got yourself... you can get a really nice tutorial from http://www.thefractalfarm.net
The latest beta version of Apophysis can be found at... http://sourceforge.net/projects/apophysis - just download the .exe file and drop it into your Apophysis folder, set up a shortcut on yer desktop, and away you go...
