Hello everyone.

I've been working on a picture for a friend of mine, and would like some opinions on it.  At this stage, it's pretty much finished, but I'm a little nervous about presenting it to him.  I just want to make sure I've done it to the best of my abilities.  I'm pretty new to Bryce and 3d art, so I really don't know what's good and what's not yet.  lol

If you could just... I dunno, take a look and tell me what you think.  I put it up in the gallery, but pictures move pretty fast through there and I would really like some thoughts on it.  The story behind the picture is in the gallery at the link I've provided.

Thanks in advance, Link is attached.

I love the thought, the meaning behind it. my only suggestion? reduce the tree trunk..make it thinner..me mean..and make the tree a rounded one..rather than a tall one. tall is rather overbearing, powerful. rounded - shading, protection ,shelter.
lovely work, esp for a beginner.
what happened is tragic, and yes tough. but everything happens with a greater meaning behind it. my empathy for your friend and his wife.

This is a beautiful image - the best I've yet seen - I wouldn't change a thing - because you've made your point, the image has served it's purpose, and there's no more that you could say that wouldn't speak to what's already been said by this image. It's a perfect completed work, let it stand...

Thanks for the responses guys.  I really appreciate it.

erosiaart - I actually thought about doing just that with the tree, but decided I'd rather have something that imparts strength and control - more like a guardian.  Those were my thoughts anyway, though I can see both points.

And thank you both for the opinions and kind words.  I honestly feel better... more confident, that my friend will like the render.

Nice image. I would desaturate it a tad. Some colors are a bit too saturated. It is very good and remember it is your picture so make it how you want to make it.

I think it makes the right impression. It´s possible you could smooth the grass and flowers a bit, but I´m not sure that´s really necessary.  Excellent work so far.
