I recently had to reinstall Poser and I did so using the original CD that I had purchased, and I did the complete full install. I am having a problem now concerning python scripts. When I open Poser, a message immediately pops up that states "Unable to initialize python properly". When just out of curiosity I tried to use a one of the different scripts that I know are definitely installed and I get the message "No python script available". Any idea on what might be going on or what I might need to do? I have reinstalled Poser before and have never had this problem.
Thanks in advance for your help!

What version of Poser are you using?

Sorry, I guess I should have specified that. I am using Poser 6.

This sometimes happens because the Service Releases change
your registry so Poser doesn't know where to find the Python stuff.
I'd suggest running the SR1 installer, then the SR2
installer. Supposedly the SR2 should fix the registry by itself,
but this doesn't always happen. (Yes, I'm superstitious when
it comes to the Holy Mysteries of the Registry.)

I appologoze but I am not sure what you are referring to s

Assuming you're on Windows....
When you install Poser, it makes an entry in the Windows
Registry that tells Windows where Python is. For some reason,
this Registry entry sometimes gets lost when re-installing. The
two Service Releases (sr1 and sr2), for Poser 6, also affect
this Registry thing. If you're reinstalling after a problem, or
after a virus or something, you need to run the main Poser
installer, then SR1 installer, then SR2 installer.
Supposedly e-frontier repaired this, but I don't believe it.
(That's why I'm talking about superstition.)

ok, so this is going to sound like a REALLY stupid question but where do I find all 3 of the installers? Thanks!

The main poser installer is on your cd, the sr1 and sr2 are available at the link under downloads updates and documentation.
You need your poser 6 serial number to download the service releases.
