So I'm paging through DAZ with my $100 voucher (now $105 with PC voucher) and I spy the Carrara plug-ins section...
[drooooooools]..... tasty..... but I'm torn. [sob]
$99 - Vector Style 2 would be cool to have and use to make Flash movies and the like....
$99 - Shader Style would boost my C5Pro shaders stuff...
Any opinions?

I bought Shader Style and Architec. With the PC membership 30% discount and some vouchers and coupons , I couldn't resist. With PC membership I think I can get one each month till I have them all.

You'll love them both. It really depends on your work flow and what you do. I can use ShaderStyle on almost every assignment. But Verctor Style is just excellent for creating Flash and artwork that you can open and manipulate in Adobe Illustrator or something similar. Unless you're going to be doing some Flash work for sure, you will probably get more use out of Shader Style. (plus you can pull off some truly remarkable effects in the texture room!)

Mark, that's what I think. I might get VS2 later, it is very interesting, but w/o a demo, I am a bit unsure of how useful it will be. I think Shaderstyle is definitely for everybody.

beryld,
The discount and vouchers being used on shaderstyle and others was a mistake. They fixed that. It is a resale item and it now says you cannot use resale vouchers on it. It also is not eligible for a discount. I had thought you could use a voucher on upto 50% of a resold item. This stuff is a bit annoying and confusing.

Oh well, it worked for the 2 that I bought. Though Architec isn't that great. I'm considering taking it back.

I see now that you can't get the deals for some. Sometimes it does pay to be early.

DENIED! Oh well, I guess that I'm gonna have to settle for VS2. I use SWISH to create some programming and animations, and this will be a little easier to work with...
maybe I'll find something else in another couple of days....
[meh] at DAZ...

Let me know how VS2 goes. Would really like a demo.

They are both very good add-ons for Carrara.
