Does anyone know if the ver. of Vue that you get in the Lightwave bundle can be upgraded in the future at an upgrade price? I looked around & didn't find anything on this.

Thanks

Best bet is write to eon I'd say

Once in a while I look around,
I see a sound
and try to write it down
Sometimes they come out very soft
Tinkling light sound
The Sun comes up again

I think you're talking about Vue 5 Infinite. We on't know yet the upgade path e-on will follow, since Vue6 is not out yet, and not even in beta. But What I know is that there are always upgrade prices with e-on, just like with any serious 3d software company.

I would bet heavily that the Vue5I you got with Lightwave will get the same upgrade pricing that anyone else who bought the full version of Vue5I would get. I bought Vue5I full version just after it came out and now have three or four additional seats of Vue5I that I have through the LW upgrade. I doubt E-On will distinguish what you got with LW and the full price version. Their main reason for doing this deal with Newtek is that they're hoping you'll like Vue5I enough to actually upgrade to the next version.

However....   we shall see.

I agree with Megaladon. You should have no problem upgrading your included VueInfinite package with the bundle you are considering. But you'd better act fast if your going to do it; I got a Newtek newsletter that says that the offer will be withdrawn in a couple of weeks. (End of May.)

Thanks everyone for the replies.  I'm still debating on getting the upgrade or jumping ship to XSI foundation ($495), the base C4d ($549) or Modo ($695).  (Been with Lightwave since 5.0)

I'm a hobbyist & do mainly stills.  XSI may be overkill with it's animation focus & learning curve. I hear bad things about C4d in respect to their modules/pricing/upgrade policies - not the app itself.  Modo is a little to much money for me right now & who knows how 201 with it's new renderer is going to be.
