1- Is there a way to change the point at which an prop pivots when rotating? For instance I would like to make my new boot which is actually two props(the foot part and the shin part)bend at the ankle. So I figured if I could make it so the foot part pivots at the back (or heel) when I rotate on the X axis that would do the trick. Can this be done in Poser? 2- The boot is like 6 megs is that too much? Any ideas on how to make it less. I used the grouping tool to get rid of alot of hidden polygons already. It used to be over 9 megs!! 3- What is the mtl. file that keeps getting created whenever I export as an obj? And what do I do with it? As always thanks for any help.... 8^)

heyas; 1: yes. grab the prop, hit ctrl-i and turn on the origin. the green crosshairs show you where the center/pivotpoint of the prop are. you can move it with the three new dials that appear on your prop. (originx, originy, originz.) be careful, as sometimes when you go to move the origin, the prop moves. haven't figured out why, yet... 2: 6 megs for one boot?? that's big even for a whole figure! is the obj 6 megs, or the pp2? if it has a lot of morphs, the pp2 file will expand, as the morph vertex data is stored in there. but 6 megs?? i dunno. did you make it a conforming figure? if you plugged it into another figure's cr2, it might still have a ton of morph info in it. i know you said you made a prop, but.... 3: the mtl file is a text file that contains material settings for the obj that poser exports. you can delete them with impunity. :) it is used when importing the obj to other programs, to remember the material settings.

There are no morph targets To create the prop I just selected the parts I wanted and used the grouping tool to "create new prop" It is not conforming....It isnt even that high res...

6MB per nugget? Is it possible that you still have some invisible body parts (or an entire figure) attached to the visible parts?
