Hey everyone,
Hi Guys. What's going on? Yeah, I know, I haven't been around in ages and fell off the face of the earth. I've been back to working midnights for the past 8 months and that along with my girlfriend kind of occupies your time. But, I'm making the move back into Bryce. MAKING time for it is a must. I've missed it and this place and the lunatics that inhabit it.
ANYWAY...I've got his issue that started with Bryce today that I can't rememdy. Has anyone else received the error "This application has failed to start becasue B5Axiom.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix the problem."
I'm running the current version 5.5c and haven't had a problem until today. Unistalled B5 completely and reinstalled installed it. Installed 5.5a, the patch and then the import plug but got the same error again. I looked in the main program folder and B5Axiom.dll IS in there.
This isn't the first time this has happened that I have had to reinstall everything and then having to reinstall ALL my extra textures, skies etc... for about the 3rd freaking time.
If anyone knows about this error, let me know please. I'm ready put my head through the monitor after tryng the uninstall/install process 4 times.
Thanks,
BOOMER

What import plug?
Presets can be dragged and dropped to back them up/"reinstall" them. That way you don't have to keep doing the "import" thing over and over to bring in all your presets again. (objects, mats, skies)

Reposting my answer from DAZ forum :-
If the import plugin you mentioned is the TurboImporter, then you don't need that because Bryce 5.5 as the same functionality is built-in.
You'll need to uninstall both Bryce and the plugin, then just reinstall Bryce.
(If you take another look in the Bryce folder you should see that you have B55Axiom.dll which comes with Bryce 5.5 not B5Axiom.dll which came with Bryce 5 and is the one the plugin is looking for).

That was it, nruddock. I didn't know that the importer was incorporated into the new release. On the money now.
