Theres something wrong with my Poser 6 - it has the latest service releases etc...

Works fine initially, then after about 30 mins or so, if I go to adjust morph or movement  dials it 'loses' my mouse cursor.

Any ideas whats causing the problem or how to fix it? Its only being doing it now and again for for the last couple weeks.

Just a guess, but it could be something to do with your video drivers. That probably doesn't address why it just started acting up recently....  I have some occasional visual weirdness with P6 SR2, with some things disappearning. I have to save, exit, restart, and everything comes back OK. But its a pain.

It's a resource problem.  I've had the same problem occassionally with Poser 4 after making multiple test renders of a scene.  Poser 6 is exponentially more resource demanding.  Your only recourse is to save your scene after each change, and then do somethig else for a while, to get your computer to release some of its 'clogged' resources.  If that doesn't work, close and restart Poser. 
You might consider setting up your scenes in Poser Artist (4), and then rendring them in some other medium, such as P6, Max or Carrera.

You could install a memory defragger like FreeRam XP Pro. It allows you to reclaim memory after Poser leakages (and any other prog for that matter)

As for the Poser 6 issue, it still keeps happenning to me. Ive 512mb of RAM installed in my PC, but Poser just seems to laugh at it (especially when rendering).

Do you think it might help if i cleaned out my runtime folders a bit?

What kind of mouse do you use, if it's a Logotech one, look for a n updated driver.

I use Poser 4 PP and have the same thing happen on occasion, what i do 2 get the curser back is blindly search the Poser interface by stop/clicking carefully. Meaning you STOP then CLICK cause if your curser is on your model and you move the mouse you could disrupt or move your model. What i search for is 1 of the Morph Dials, The Camera Ball, or The Light Ball.

Once you find 1 or the other and are on it, Click & Hold then move whatever your on. The curser will redisplay. then just hit CTRL+Z to restore the moved image. But you have to move it for it to redisplay. Its a pain but better then resaving and having to restart your Poser.

Also on the saving... MAKE SURE you resave, if able to. As another PZ cause Poser may have folded on you, and if you save over the original Doc. you may lose info in the file and upon opening you'll get nothing but a Blank image w/ 1 useless light. This has happend to me b4 rare... but does happen... Don't trust it. Example on saving below;

Original file Name "Great Scene" rename as this "Great Scene2"

now if u reopen "Great Scene2" w/ no problems resave/over write as Original file then deleat "Great Scene2" after you close Poser when done working. You won't be able to deleat it after you open it and Poser is open... Well thats my Long 2 Cents worth hope this helps.

PS: The reson I know this is cause i have a 3 monitor sys w/ an expandable desktop, & the curser works on the other 2 monitors, but goes invisable on the Poser interface. So it can't be a driver prob. or issue. It's that Poser had a curser Fart...LOL.

Did you try setting the Priority to "High" in the Task Manager?  This corrects many resource allocation problems.

definately a resource issue...had a similar issue a while back, and cured it some by using a small app, which runs in the background, and refreshes your pc memory, every few minutes (you can set in to automatically reclaim system memory or right click in the taskbar and and make it do it manually) Think its called ram idle... Also try disabling some tasks, from the control panel, if youre using XP. Hope this helps...
