Subject: Yet another phishing scam

If you get an email supposedly from a Mark J. Burnett at www.valuehost.com, referring to a chargeback on your credit card, it's a scam. The email comes with a .zip attachment containing an executable. If you're silly enough to run that, presumably Bad Things will happen.

Valuehost, a UK web host, confirm this as a scam (see http://www.valuehost.co.uk/noc/).

They really should be teaching kids in infant school about this stuff, along with don't take sweets from strangers. It's amazing that people still are taken in by these and similar scams. Presumably they are, since the scammers and spammers keep on keeping on.

I always look at phishing scams and spoof emails as God's way of keeping the stupid people off the internet :lol:
