Sounds like you have a conflict with another application running in parallel. Try to have absolutely nothing running in parallel to see wether this changes something.

And maybe by accident the E-on anti-pirate strategy hits you. This makes the application crash constantly. You should contact E-on technical support when you still have the crashes without any other program running in parallel. Only they can help you on that then.

dead,

I had the same problem...  it crashed on me when opening it over and over... a re-install should fix it... but...

if you are able to click on the 'show tutorials' button before it disappears, then go to File>options and reset your open GL in VUE to 'software' or turn it off ... then close out and re-open ... hey, I dunno, but it worked for me...

then I just turned OpenGL back to Hardware Accel... after it opened fine.

bizaar but true.

btw - VUE has crashed on me over 95% of the time I've ever used it.  All I can say is - save often!

Oh, one additional thought. Do you maybe have a dual monitor graphic card? I have problems with Vue on one of our Windows machine (Windows only, Mac does not have this problem) with such a card. The solution there is to start Windows/graphic card in single monitor mode.

One strange problem I had involved some sort of clash with the DivX codecs. I installed some DivX software, and then Vue wouldn't run. It wouldn't even show the splash screen (incidentally, should you be posting your registration code like that?). Just nothing happened.

I uninstalled the DivX package, reinstalled Vue, and then it worked again.

i never thought to block out the reg code but i trust you all to not to give it out .

A common problem. There is always a lot of useless programmes automatically running on the hard drive. Unfortunately the only way round it is to end all these programs before running Vue and this useally tends to have to be done every time you restart the computer. I tend to just leave it on though! This then should help free up memory as this seems to be the problem - memory space. Also helps to have 1.5gig memory on your computer.
