Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2024 Nov 21 6:06 am)
What you need to change are the two figureResFile lines. You probably have figureResFile xPoser6folderfile change that to figureResFile :runtime:geometries:folder:file.OBJ With P6, check to see if it created a new obj file in the character folder you saved your cr2, it has a nasty habit of doing this. If so, change the geometries to where your obj actually is located. Hope I didn't confuse you too much.
I must remember to remember what it was I had to remember.
Just to clarify, nickedshield is talking about manually editing the cr2 with a text editor.
Also, if you know where the needed files are, you can try opening the cr2 up in Poser and when it says it can't find the file you can tell it where the file is, and once the character is loaded, re-save back to the library.
Either way will work.

Fixing up a CR2 is easier using a CR2 editing tool. I use CR2Builder by kim99, free and easy to use. See attached link. The pen is mightier than the sword. But if you literally want to have some impact, use a typewriter
Why not use Correct Reference for it? The Pro version can do this IIRC. And it's a darn nice tool anyhow :D

You just can't put the words "Poserites" and "happy" in the same sentence - didn't you know that? LaurieA

Have Poser 6 and when I saved some characters (cr2's) they referenced a drive letter instead of a runtime/lib whatever. Nw have a different puter and that drive is not poser now. Is there a setting someplace in Poser to make them reference a file location instead of a drive location??
Have checked the book and can find nothing about this there. Oh yes poser is on an external drive all this time same drive. But got new puter and windows changed dives letters for me ( all sorts of card rader slots)
Thanks
