Okay I know I maybe light years behind many of you with P6 ( I am entering week two of having the program) and many of you have already formed opinions about Jessi but where did e-frontiers come up with the body shape for this lass? In some respects she looks almost alien. Is there any way to "soften" her up some and make her appear more human?

at content paradise there is a glamorus jessi figure by Burton I think.
But I love the body of the default jessi, to each his own though especially with liking a type of body

RDNA website/ store offers an Ultimate Jesse Bodymorph package for 20usd. If you use conforming cloths, use the morphs sparingly or else the clothing fit could be a problem.

Jessie is butt ugly!!!!!!!!!!!! She looks like a freaky looking Alien. Here is a thread that compares a variety of female figures, including Jessie.

You will be very surprised about Jessi. She can look hot sometimes, and then other times, she doesn't look so hot.

RDNA also has an Ultimate Jesse Facemorph package that can help with her "butt ugly" face.

Really the next thing I'd like to see in a new model are nice looking feet. Yes, I like feet and most of the models look like they have stumps for feet. I look at all the wonderful and sexy footwear created by idler, Dx30 and others only to have stumpy looking feet to put in them.
Actually, I like the way Jessi's feet, toes, hands and fingers can be moved. Much more nicer than daz figures.

butt-ugly is in the eye of the beholder.
i don't think jessi looks any worse than the lot of them, really. the worst thing about her is that abnormally large forehead, and her upper arms are a wee bit short. other than that, i like her fine -- i have complaints about every figure i've seen, and all of them require work to make them look like real people not suffering from anorexia. jessi is a bit more on the stylized side, but i find her neither alien nor butt-ugly. anyone who's seen a lot of people naked realizes that there is a huge variety of shapes among humans -- much more than among poser figures, heh.
my favourite out of the box remains SP3. but who keeps them looking as if they just came out of the box anyway? i care more about the quality of the mesh. jessi's mesh doesn't strike me as bad, but i haven't really stretched the envelope yet at all.

Also need more outfits for Jessi. Seems like all came to a hault right after Miki became into the spotlight. And I was ready to get Jessi stuff.

No offense, this is nothing against your talent, but I still think she's butt ugly. She still looks like an alien-human hybrid. I've yet to see a product or image for her that makes her look pretty.
In general I think it has more to do with her head shape than the shape of the body, though I don't like her body shape either. But the head seems oddly almost triangle-egg shaped and her forehead is huge.

Yes, I'm afraid she's a big disappointment. And one can't really cure her face in the face room - one can make her look even more distorted, but the face room effects are grossly unrealistic compared to the morph support for some other figures.
Acadia posted Mon, 29 May 2006 at 6:03 AM
I saw a free morph recently that got rid of her huge forehead. Unfortunately I don't recall where it was... might have been PoserClub.jp, though I'm not sure.

Actually I think Jessi was created along the lines of "How to draw characters the Marvel Comics way". She reminds me of the Silver Age female supehero body shape.

@acadia: Non taken mate! :)
I agree with trav, I feel that Jessi is less realistic in shape than other female figures but reminds me a lot of the body shapes of Gene Colan (the people who read comics in their chilhood will know who he is)
To the ones that feel that Jessi has short arms, let me say that are totally correct but that this can be solved by scaling the arms 15%. It seems that the people who did the geometry didn't took into account that the arms will shorten while bending in the JParameters process. But with this scaling they will be just fine.
The arms of V3 for example are like wings in the T position but when you bend them they get just right.

Sealtm2! There will be a "Version 2" of Jessie soon at Content Paradise, along with James, Koji and Miki, as well. Hopefully, their body errors will be fixed...
Phantast posted Tue, 30 May 2006 at 5:00 AM
Unless Jessie can be remapped to take V3 textures, I don't see a lot of use for her.
stahlratte posted Tue, 30 May 2006 at 5:57 AM
I´ve yet to come a cross a mesh that couldn´t be fixed by a full DAZ body transplant and a few dozend magnets.
:tongue2:
And I second Phantast. A remapped Jessi that could take V3 textures would just be the icing on the cake for my Jacky. :thumbupboth:

I have both posermatic's fantasy art jessi, and RDNA's ultimate body morphs for Jessi. I mostly do architectural renders, so I do not get to use posermatic's morph as much as I would like (sigh, I would fall head down in an instant for a girl with THAT body! LOL)
I like her more than victoria, because it is not necessary to own gazillions of morphs and the hi--res-texture-sets and what nots, she is quite useful from her default. At least in my field of work, she is excellent for what I do.

Yes, she's fine if all you want is an undifferentiated background figure in an architectural scene. But to be honest, the P3 figures are good in that respect also.
manoloz posted Tue, 30 May 2006 at 10:49 AM
not really, they do not pose as easily, and the hair looks totally unnatural even at medium distances.
but as said before, it really is a matter of taste
