1. I'm thinking on subsribing to poserworld. Does poserworld create their own human figures, or are they just creating hairs, accessories, clothes for human figures?
2. Are there any news if there is a new company that will create a program similar to Poser or Daz Studio?
3. This is a little off-topic but I'm not sure  where to put it since I don't think renderosity has an off-topic forum. My buddy needs to decide what charity he should donate to. Please help him decide so he can choose the right one. Thank you.

Mods, please move number 3 if it should be in another forum. Thanks.

2. There was something recently but it didn't even have the functionality of Poser 3.
3. He should donate to the "Keep SamTherapy out of poverty" charity. ;) Other than that, any children's charity, IMO.

Can't answer this one.
Quidam from N-Sided seems to be a contender. No word on availability or price yet, though. A demo version is available from the website.
There is also Project MakeHuman, which is open source and part of the Blender universe. It's a ways behind Poser (I think this is what SamTherapy was referring to.) It's priced comparably to DAZ Studio ;-)

1, no we don't have any human figures, we have a couple of monster type figures....not much hair either, i think its safe to say we have pretty much anything else though :o)......3, PLEASE, have a look at Operation Christmas Child, its not a charity you need to send money too, what we do is collect bits and bobs over the year ready to send off in the boxes, its a charity very close to my heart, in different circumstances i have recieved a few shoes boxes and can tell you it has touched me forever........Steve

I must admit to being biased on this one. My nephew started this on his own when his 6 year old sister died from a brain tumor...
