hello all i was think about buying poser 6 ce, I have poser 5 but i think its time to upgrade. Just need $79 dollars more to buy it. But i have some questions before I buy. Is it ez to change my poser 5 runtime to poser 6 i would hate to install all my models and stuff again. Is the lighting better then poser 5. Do you think its a big upgrade? Also does it work well carrara 5. Well thanks for your time.

I bought it last year as a pre order and it was worth the money, it does work well with Carrara 5.
Great tool to have.

Over the months I've seen the odd post about a feature in Poser 6 that I felt I would like to have access to, but it wasn't enough to get me to spend more money on the same program for a few more bells and whistles that weren't really a necessity IMHO.
In December that changed. I saw a post about using the Morphing Fantasy Dress in the cloth room. I tried to do that using Poser 5 but it wasn't working. Someone suggested editing a file prior to rendering, again that didn't work. I really love dynamic clothing, but I also love the MFD but have always hated the way the skirt always looked "posed". The fact that the Poser 6 cloth room would allow me to have the best of both worlds sold me and I upgraded at the end of December.

I'm sure I've missed some pluses. But I see very few cons and would recommend upgrading if you can afford to.

You don't need to reinstall any content. You can simply configure the Poser 6 library to access your existing P5 runtime.

Attached Link: e frontier ToolBox
Try the attached link.In case deep linking into EF's site store doesn't work, here's the navigation path.
[Top menu, mouse over] Purchase
[Top menu, click item] Web Store
[Left menu, click item] Poser
[Page body, click tab] Poser 6 (View Products)
The item you want is the second one on the list.
