There really IS a God! I'm so thrilled about this I'm going to go spend $50 on Raptura's Photoshop brushes!
Seriously, I'm glad to see them gone.
@Raptura: Nice new stuff!

Oh you scared me there for a minute, LOL I thought you were upset it was gone....

there will be no complainers that the hot 20 was unfair, but still it was a way to recognize outstanding work. the new galleries for now are harder to navigate, but maybe it will improve. it is nice to have one site now for sure

Excellent, it was the worse idea anyone ever had, good riddance to it!!

It actually worked fine in the Cinema forum.
Pass no temptation lightly by, for one never knows when it may pass again!

It was a good idea, but it was also easily manipulated and the results askewed in favour of those with the a ton of "friends" who spammed their images to raise them to the top.
Glad to know that there were some genres where it actually was taken seriously and worked.

There's a link for something called "ArtCharts", so maybe that's the H20 replacement.
Any info forthcoming on what the "ArtCharts" link will show ?
StaceyG posted Wed, 14 June 2006 at 3:37 PM
The Art Charts will be very cool...It is designed to tally favorite images, favorite artists and vendor credit favorites from the member's information input into the "MY FAVORITES" link (it used to be on the Member homepage, all the information was converted so any images, artists, etc you had on your Member Homepage is still available its just now found on the MY FAVORITES link) and it will give you a listing of what was the top (I believe 100) favorite images, favorite artists, etc. What is really cool is the favorite images will be links but if you scroll over them the thumbnail will pop up. As soon as the information is tallied it will be listed. We will probably add other listings on the Art Chart page but for now will start with the favorite images, fav artists, and vendor credit favorites.

Uh-oh! Here we go again, another unregulated "Top-of-the-Pops" for artwork.
It'll all end in tears, complaints and flame-wars. Again....
But OK. I don't have to look at it :-)) And I won't..
Cheers,
