Hi there, I'm having trouble understanding how to create backdrops in Carrara. I'm used to Poser, so this may just be some preconceived notion fouling me up here. I want to put a picture in back of a Poser figure I'm importing, so I'm pretty sure backdrop is what I want. Trouble is, I can't find the instructions for creating a backdrop. The page reference in the manual, p. 431, doesn't have anything to do with backgrounds. The page the link takes me to, p. 334, is about backgrounds and backdrops, but I can't seem to figure out how to actually create one. Any advice would be much appreciated. Guy

Under the "Instances" tab on the right, click on the "Scene". Up top you will see "backdrop", click on the little dropdown symbol for options.

Thanks! I knew it had to be something easy. I've got to start doing some tutorials soon. Guy

There are some free tuts on lynda.com and the manual. You absolutely must spend time reading about the interface. It will save you heaps of frustration later.
