Hi, I was wondering if anyone knows of a good way to get body measurements, like a tailor would use to make clothing, for figures in Poser 6. I've had friends asking me to model characters for them, and part of the body type description tends to be measurements - unfortunately, I'm not exactly the best at eyeballing measurements, and I'd like to get them at least close...

This might help. http://www.philc.net/PoserToolBox.htm  Look on page 3 near the bottom.

It's not cheap though, but I have it and it was worth it for me.

When I measured most of the Poser Figures awhile ago I took the figures into Max, sectioned the mesh and wrapped a wire around the section on the screen.  I then made a box in Max the same length as the wire and read off the numbers.  Then we got into the old bra-size debate.  ;-)

You will find that Poser women have big chests, incidently!

This thread contains a link to a script called Measure-It V2.e by bushi which should be able to do measurements for you, and it's free too.
