Hi Raymond,
If you want to move the complete figure, you should select the Body from the dropdown list. Then you can move it around using the parameter dials, or if you wish to move the figure by dragging with the mouse, press
The
This is actually not a Poser Technical question, most of the things we're discussing here has to do with hacking .cr2 files and bullying Poser into doing things it wasn't designed for. It's better to put questions like yours in the Poser forum, it's got more traffic and you'll get answers pretty quick.
Happy rendering,

Moving a figure by the 'body' is ok UNTIL YOU SAVE A POSE FILE !!!
I have emphasised this because , unless they fixed it in poser 6, it causes headaches for new users.
The body component is NOT saved in pose files.
With IK turned off for the legs and hands you can move the figure by selecting the HIP.
If its a non-animated scene and you are not saving poses then feel free to use BODY, and you can move the figure with IK on.

It is not fixed in Poser 6. It's not difficult to hack the BODY parameters into a pose file, once you know how pose files work, but that's not a beginner's option.
markschum is comletely correct.

for a static scene it doesnt matter, but getting into the habit gets you into problems later if doing animations and poses.
Its just something to be aware of so you dont waste a lot of time saying WHAT !!! when you dont get the expected result.
