I´m gonna go on a little break now till things start working properly here again. And till my overstressed wrist feels better. Before i do though, i wanted to show some of the shots i took last weekend at the Zoo. Because if i don´t....i´ll probably end up archiving them somewhere and nobody will ever see them.
Feel free to tell me if any of them suck or if any of them should be put in the gallery eventually, okay?
First one is already in my gallery.....one of two baby cubs they had. White lions. Sooo amazing and sooo cute.
How come we say 'It's colder than hell outside' when
isn't it realistically always colder than hell since hell is
supposed to be fire and brimstone?

Excellent zoo inhabitants portraits,Andreas... All are for sure worth uploading in your gallery... as they are much more interesting than bubbles !! lol !
It looks like we all are a little depressed about the way the site is working (I don't have the feeling that the speed is improved...)and that the atmosphere is not as before... myself, I'm visiting the galleries on a low profile, right now...
Take care, best regards :~)

Wonderful shots all,Swedie. Those lion cubs are just adorable and that burping camel is hysterical.Love the clarity and detail on both of those camel pix, actually. But my absolute favorite is that bear.Awesome shot!I love how he fills the entire image. It really makes him seem extra threatening that way.
Speaking of which...I'm relieved to hear you've decided to stop whistling in the woods.Yeesh!!!Were you hoping that you and Eija would end up as some bear's Swedish smorgasbord?
(PS Glad you mentioned uploading...once again,no ebot...but that's another thread...lol.)
Anyway, take care of that wrist and good to know you won't be leaving us completely. You would be terribly missed.

LMAO! That is one drooling camel indeed. Beautiful shot there Doug. So you´re cheating huh....uploading images without resizing them i see. Using HTML-code for that? Linking to another page i guess.

I don't know why,but camels,(and ostriches),crack me up.Something about those funny Dr.Seuss 'Grinch' faces that camels have,I think...and the adorable eyes of an ostrich! And let's not forget their most elegant bodies, lol!

That's not cheating Andreas...LOL I just did not have it on my HD and did not feel like saving it.
What I feel bad about now is highjacking your thread.
I forgot about not doing this.

You didn´t hi-jack anything Doug. And even if you did according to some unwritten rules, i´m not the person that mind. Infact why don´t we all show some Zoo-shots here? I for one love seeing them.

Thank you Kim and Marlene.
I know...aren´t they just to die for? I wouldn´t even think twice about trading Gizmo in for one of those....sigh....stupid cat just took off with Eija´s bone. I never knew such a small cat could carry something that big (bought her a bone called Monster Bone...so you can imagine it´s quite big) away with his mouth. I tell ya...there´s something really wrong with him....he´s actually in the dining room now eating away at it.

Aw poor Eija.
If she's anything like my Archer she probably just let him walk away with it,too. And then, looks imploringly at you with big soulful eyes...
I must say I've had a few cats in my life, but none were ever even remotely interested in gnawing on a dogbone. He's a most unusual little guy.I'd love to see pics of some of his antics one day.
