Hi All,

Would anyone be kind enough to suggest a simple free 3ds file format viewer software that does not use source coding. Just as if one is going thru windows explorer and clicking on 3ds files in a directory and see each or all of them as thumbnails. Is ther such an animal?

TIA,

Nick

A very inexpensive one is Accutrans at  http://www.micromouse.ca/

it's free and un crippled to try but only $20.00 American so that's a pack and a half of smokes up here...well 2 packs...LOL...it's an honour system so please honour him if you like it and keep it..

Once in a while I look around,
I see a sound
and try to write it down
Sometimes they come out very soft
Tinkling light sound
The Sun comes up again

Thanks so much for your response. I do appreciate the link and it could be helpful and yes I will pay the fee if I can use it properly. I played around with it but have not figured out how to make the thumbnails of the files or rather see the thumbnails of the files.

Thanks again,

Nick

a bit of a D'oh moment on my part...I totally ignored the part of your request relating to thumbs and focused on the free part...sorry...Deep Exploration may have a 'lite' version or a demo but that's the only one i know of that does thumbs of models. There is a Poser explorer/viewer that does .obj in free stuff, dunno it's name but checked it out and with no Poser, no need, but that's 'bout it from me...Any others out there with ideas?

I don't know either, but you might check out over in the 3DS MAX forum.
