Seems relevant...sorry if it isn't.

So where did you hear this?

Bob Stockwell on both yahoo list. He said it it wll be public soon. Not sure if it will effect Hexagon. I feel certain they would prepare for such code protection knowing how code licensing and intellectual property work. Interesting development nonetheless.

Very Interesting. Should be fun to watch. Though I must say Price will most likely be high as with their Shade Pro. That's why I went to Carrara Pro before the Daz thing. It gives me better rendering options than Shade Pro at less than 1/3 the price. I have Shade Standard 8.5 so I'm not missing much from the pro version except price. LOL.

I thought the Hex developers were the ones that did the Amapi Pro too.

e-frontier will have a nice modeler now to go with their Shade renderer.  Hex won't be affected.  But Poser may get an Amapi importer if e-frontier keeps the Amapi name.

Shade Is a modeler.

Shonner might have the  right ideal about it. Might be like Hex and Carrara but very pricy. It wouldn't be to hard to add an Amapi importer for Poser.

Quote - Shade Is a modeler.

Compared to Amapi, it's not.
