you have done a great job on that head is why i knew!!! to be recognisable in a pre-rendered state shows you have great skill!!! love to see how you come along with the model, texturing, and body!! as long as you are allowed to(guess you could always change her name a bit) i reakon you are on your way to making a very profitable morph!!!!!!!! very well done!!!!!!!!!!!(much clapping and many hoorahs!!)
dphoadley posted Sun, 02 July 2006 at 1:42 AM
I guess I was a little caustic in my post, but the the indentation in the lower jaw of the single photo gives a definate robotish look to teh figure. As one who's tried his hand at sculpting/morphing character faces (in posette yet), I know this isn't an easy issue.
Yours truly,

BTW, did Paris Hilton REALLY make that infamous video, or was it all just a hoax for publicity?
vince3 posted Sun, 02 July 2006 at 1:51 AM
talk about posting at the same time!!! you have a nice store coming along aswell!!! i like a few of your hairs!! are they dynamic!!!! i don't really want a prize!!! wouldn't feel right, getting a prize off your talent!!!would just like to see how you come along with it!!! maybe consider me as a tester if you get it over to poser!!!! i reakon you have done the hard bit, with the head,so think the body should come together quite quickly!!!i'm guessing she would be a morph for V3?
neftis posted Sun, 02 July 2006 at 2:04 AM
vince3: Oh you desrve a prize just to find out after my firsts post! LOL so please , don't be shy...
As for the figure, it's not a V3 morphs as I created my own figures. It's a new "conforming head" tough...but I still have lots of work to do to finish the project.
I'll keep ya all posted :) and I still consider the testing offer ;) hehehe
neways, just go at polymage and have a look in the Neftis store and choose something you would like, I'll fix a DL link for you today and have it work for monday.
dphoadley: Oh I think you are right there, I see what you mean hehehe I'll correct this and thanks for your post! :D

Unless it is something really, really good, or that the participants are doing something really interesting, or at least have some attribute that is visually outstanding and/or attractice, then SEX as a spectator sport usually becomes tedius.

Weve already got that in the form of a very heavy Rock & Roll musician with a VERY serious resume (including playing/touring with Ronnie James Dio)!
He revealed his presence here among us, but not his community username, in his recent rosity newsletter interview :)
I wouldnt be suprised to find out that a reasonably sized handful of current mainstream celebs hang out here and keep incognito usernames for the purpose of just blending in and being one of the crowd. The 3d hobbiest population is so huge these days!

Considered the possibility that it might be you (your avatar, rather), but settled on PH much too late. As for your modeling skills, no worries. Fact is, PH looks more like the Tin Man than your mesh gives her credit for. To get the look right, you need to make her nose much smaller and more pointed. The real thing looks a bit dangerous. To me she's always looked like she was wearing a bird beak.
You got the smug vacuous smile down pat. I just remembered, it's the Straw Man who needs a brain! Frankly, without the makeup and clothes, PH makes Meryl Streep look like Miss Universe. And Streep has those intangibles: intelligence, taste, talent.

Hey yeah, I remember that preview at DAZ about the holiday book with all the poser graphics!
Im sure Mr Dyke has an account here given he is obvously in the same addicted boat as the rest of us.
Which sends me off on ANOTHER tangent: Mary Tyler Moore was I think referred to in her early 20's "the most gorgeous woman in hollywood" by a vast number of discerning eyes.
Has anyone ever considered started or completed an MTM clone or facemorph?

I bought that the first or second day that it was in the store there. I think she is really rather homely looking, but there weren't very many characters around for SP3. I tried using it a few times but I couldn't get used to seeing a figure with legs 3 times the length of the rest of the body. Any skirts ended up nearly at waist level, and pants looked like shorts, LOL
There are more SP3 characters being produced now, so I don't even think I have that package installed anymore. It was exceptionally well done though. Very good likeness.

I will work my model again a little bit, I found some new reference pictures that will greatly help! I will post the developpements. For Marilyn, well, I am thinking about it since I received so many requests lately about this matter. But if I do, I will release her ONLY at Polymage and for a very limited time only. But so you know, I am still not sure about this.
Anyways, I have so much to work on so off I go ;) again thanks ya all :)

Oh?! That's great news! Would you announce it here if you decide to go ahead and release Marilyn?
Also, would it be based on your Unity figure, or would it be a reworked morph for one of the Millennium figures?

LOL... can't believe Vince3 got it so quick. There was a Paris Hilton lookalike character for V3 in the marketplace, done by Morris, I was lucky enough to get a copy of it until it was pulled due to copyrights... paris obviously didn't like herself appearing naked in Poser scenes...LOL
I wish you luck at releasing her and getting her the copyright infringements. I think the Morris version was very good. Shame more merchants don't use celebrities as there models.
drifterlee posted Thu, 06 July 2006 at 4:10 PM
Unfortunately, Morris did the Heiress a while back and I read it was a flop. It was then sold at Daz and disappeared. The Heiress looked a lot like Paris. I would like if you released the Marilyn character!
RGUS posted Thu, 06 July 2006 at 4:20 PM
Think I need to drag her out of the old runtimes and do a render of the Morris Paris (The Heiress)... should be quite interesting to see what she looks like again... she sure is one ugly chick though... IMHO

There is a link posted above in this thread, to a Daz thread about the removal of The Heiress.
There were no complaints or law suits or anything like that. Daz was just being over cautious.
You can still get the morphs and texture in Morris' store. It's for Jessie now though.

Just make sure that you put in your TOU that it's for personal use only. So far as I'm concerned it's fan art and should fall within that catagory.

Well I don't mind being corrected or even being given wrong information from the start over Morris's Paris Hiltons lookalike... Thank you "Acadia" for setting the record straight... but either way, I don't mind.... I got here and she's a collectors item now... what ever the reason, DAZ still sells celebirty lookalikes from theie store, so they can't be too worried about being cautious anymore... so long as you change the name... I even remeber getting Cameron from DAZ... (Caneron Diaz), even tthe file names were called Cameron... but that soon changed to Holly after perhaps DAZ became cautious again, along with most of Gwendolyns characters, they were initially named after there real life characters, and then suddenly the names changed.
So, it seems you can do anyone you like, just so long as you change the name and list the product at DAZ.
