I want to try my hand at trying to make my own props and clothing. what programs can i use to do this, and are there any tutorials to help me start out? Thankyou in advance

Tutorials on that subject would normally reference a particular program's toolset, so the first question you should ask yourself is," what program interests me?" Some popular Freeware and Shareware modeling programs are linked at the top of the forum. Other popular programs are Wings 3D, Silo 3D, Cinema 4D, Shade, 3D Studio Max, Lightwave, SoftImage XSI and Rhino 3D. There are other 3D modeling applications available also. Try the demos for whatever program you're interested in and use that as a decision making factor in wether or not you can use it to create props or clothing. Unfortunately, no one can tell you what program works best for you, you have to experience that for yourself.

There is a modeller called Hexagon which was recently bought by Daz. It was $1.99 for Daz platinum club members , and joining for a month is worthwhile with the bonuses you get.
There are plenty of tutorials, you might have to adjust the exact commands to your program.
