THis is nice. . . but if you are looking for feedback I would say that the skin on the body does not seem to be as aged as the head. Do not get me wrong . . this is a great body! It looks very different from others I have seen! Well done. . . I am not sure it appears as the same age as Leonardo's head though. Just my thoughts. Others may feel differently.
I totally applaud all the thought you are putting onto this and also how dofferent your model seems from the run-of-the-mill models that are usually sold. Most look toatlly the same. You are doing a great job!

Thanks for your feedback Tim, It was hard enough just doing all the modeling for both the head and the body and to get a working texture for the body to look good with the head, you have to consider that stuff like this does not happen in a few weeks, I have been working on this model for over a year and a half. I have a open user agreement on the body and head texture for Leonardo Da Vinci, under the agreement if you want to create an elderly body texture suitable for an old man then my user agreement will allow you to create it on top of my texture and you can then sale it but it must be used only with Leonardo Da Vinci by me, also if you should decide to do an altered texture from mine you may not freely distribute it, you can sale it only.

It's a stunning work, no question, but the disparity in the head and body textures is an issue with me, as well. You put so much work into the head and body morphs and head textures, but to be honest, the body textures make me less likely to buy the product. True, I don't do a lot of male nude renders... but you'd practically HAVE to use the classic Leonardo pose above, so the nudity does become an issue. The difference really jumps out at me with those renders. I could just substitute some other old man texture, but I really like the eyebrows, and I'd hate to lose them.

My user agreement allows you to alter my body texture for use with Loenardo Da Vinci only and even sale it, so if you have an issue with his body texture I have made it easy for you to create your own.

Well, if I could create my own body textures, I would be happy to do so. But I'm not very good at making textures, so it's not really an option for me--- or a lot of other users who'd normally be inclined to buy it, I'd venture to say. I'd be far more inclined to substitute head and body figures from some other package. Just my opinion as a consumer.

Quote - I really hope your final promo pictures will include a classic pose render in this style.
I've been following a thread at cgtalk..where they have a Vitruvian man modeling challenge.what I found interesting was reading Steven Stahlbergs entry, apparently Leonardo got the proportions wrong :...or at least those proportions don't work when transferred to 3d

Yes now that is interesting, Leonardo did have his ways of playing with ones translation of natural laws in his paintings and drawings, is there anything this genius could'nt do? maybe he could'nt fly but he found a way to do so by gliding.

If you look around Rendo he will pop up in the most unusual of places.
