I have to say that this recent banner really caught my eye. As a graphics user, I certainly appreciate the quality that went into making such a banner. I also appreciate how Renderosity knows my tastes well enough to know that I would want to see a banner like this. After all, we see plenty of banners for Poser products- give me an interactive pull-down list any day!
By the way, when you pass your mouse over the banner, you don't get the usual "renderosity.com/mod/adman" link (which links to merchants' products). Instead, you get taken to this URL:
http://a.tribalfusion.com/h.click/UVJWRKKJSJUUMQGTRXCJKQDQQTMMPPHLFKKLIMOCFGDYPTITRJODRTKGRJOOGKIRCLIQJGHJUKKG/http://www.education-advancement.com/newZipS...
"Tribal Fusion® is the leading site representation company, serving **9 billion monthly impressions** and reaching **110 million users** per month. " (quoted from their website). No wonder they're such a good fit for the Poser community!
And I'm sure that the linked URL, "education-advancement.com" is a great place to get all kinds of graphical software tools. Okay, maybe they don't have Poser software, but they must have some cool Photoshop or Lightwave plug-ins.
Why else would they advertise on Renderosity? Why else would Renderosity allow a banner like this on their site?
And to think, I could have been served a banner for a product for sale at Renderosity instead. And then I could have purchased that product from Renderosity and used it in a project that I was working on. Thanks for helping me to save money! I vote for more banners that have nothing to do with the content of the site.

Whatever brings in money I guess. I've seen a few non-poser related ones. I only click the ones that interest me, and those are 100% of the time Poser ones that catch my eye.

I'm guessing it's one of the non-3D-related banners that were found to be linked to the port scans
