Attached Link: lighting and shadows

Is there a tutorial that will help me with lighting.?!?!?!    go to the link to see what I'm talking about..

Is there a way to make the shadow go from her feet to the water edge.. then I have to really lighten the shadow for it to look right... I've even gone to a beach and had a friend stand near the water to see this..

I've got a great shadow on her glute from her left arm/hand .. but the shadow/shadows from her body should be almost invisible on the water...

It would appear from the shadow(s) cast by the small stones on the beach that the time is close to noon with the sun almost directly overhead.  This means that the shadow(s) cast by the bathing beauty do not appear natural.

That's just my VHO ... I could be wrong. :biggrin:

You can of course lighten your shadows from the light dials. If you want to only lighten the shadow/s in particular areas of your render, I usually, and I know this will sound like blasphamy to some of you, do multiple renders at varying shadow settings, then clone the areas I want in a 2D program. Oops, there goes my cred here.
