I am here at Renderosity for 4 years now. Almost everyday I visited vue and other software galleries and hot20 for each gallery. It was great that just in few click I could see best renders and everything has changed lately and I dont know if its only me but I HATE new changes. All changes for me its a very huge step BACK for renderosity and for users. Here are my thoughts: - new art charts its a misteake. There are no charts regarding each software as it was before. Its nice to see what are global favorite images/renders but for users of vue its important and crucial to see top VUE renders as hot20 shows. Why there are no charts for each software ? There are software communities like here - vue and why we could not get our art chart ? - gallery look Before changes I entered the gallery and at one glance I could see how many comments each image got. Now I have to mouse over on all images ? why ? - homepage new homepage looks much worse and is less informative. I wrote my opinion because I really care about renderosity. I feel like part of it. I would like to know whats your opinion. Its just me or do you think the same ? Thanks for your opinions.

No disrespect intended but these views have already been aired on countless forums here, the poser forum, the community forum etc. etc. So people have posted their views on the changes ad nauseum!!

For myself, I mostly like the changes, some I don't but you can't please everybody with everything!

You see, you say you liked the Hot 20, most people didn't like it because it was manipulated by certain people asking for votes all the time so it went. It was replaced by the new "chart" version which still has room for manipulation IMHO and this has also been stated in a thread about this very thing in one of the other forums!

ok..didnt see the posts...so I posted my opinion...but the problem and question is (if it had been already answered please let me know) I think either that hot20 was not perfect but I thougt that there will be new charts for each gallery for example for vue gallery so dont you think there should be art charts for each gallery ? rules for the art chart: For example.. 1 comment - 1 point and 1 favourite 5 points. Renders with most points will be at art chart for each gallery. Thats only idea and I would like to know what's your opinion..thats all

Yes I do agree with the charts [if you have them] for each gallery because let's face it there are some stunning 2D artists out there who won't get hardly a mention because they're images may not be viewed much or they don't know enough people on here to go begging for votes or "add me to your favourites so I can get to the top" type situation. This new chart will be abused just like the Hot20 was, you'll see over time. The same old arguments will come out of the woodwork about it being a "mates convention"!!!

For me, there shouldn't be top this and top that because it's too subjective anyway. Just my view!!

thank you for the opinion. and yes of course every chart its kind subjective and always will be. But for me art chart for each gallery its only way to quickly see best renders/images posted lately in each gallery insted of browsing whole gallery..

I understand your view but it isn't neccesarily the case!

I remember someone made a "joke" image of something and then went round the forums asking people to vote for the image which lots of people did and it got right to the top of the Hot20 which just made the point, which is what that person wanted.

It's not always about the best images but sometimes about how many votes you can get by asking!   The new chart will have the same issue but I already said that, Apologies for repeating myself.

Anyone else like to add an opinion here???
