Hi

I got fed up with conforming clothing that didn't fit after you rescaled limbs (longer legs etc).  So I created a character using an OBJ geometry with two layers (inner Judy, outer catsuite).  This scales perfectly,  no more bits sticking through.  By using transparancy maps on the outer layer, I can create any tight clothing I like (and realistic stockings etc).  Unfortunately I am not very good at creating characters and my methods were somewhat crude;  something went wrong with the head texture, the faceroom no longer works and each body part has it's own texture assigned. Has anyone else done this (only better)?

regards

Jean

I know what you mean about conforming clothing.  It's hard to fit the figure if you change their body shape, not to mention pretty impossible to fit the clothing around a figure that is posed in any way other than straight up standing.

You have a few options open to you.

1.  Dynamic Clothing (poser 5 and 6)

3.  The tailor

-  This program adds body morphs to clothing.  You still have to turn dials and make things fit, but it allows you to put "body parts" into clothing so you can adjust just those areas.

4.  Wardrobe Wizard

I agree with Acadia since you are using judy you have P5 and the cloth room is the better bet.sorry to say though most of us haven't been maink stuff for Judy. Solution? Load judy and scale her body to 75% load the clothing at 100% over a course of 5-8 frames expand Judy back to 100%. The cloths will change to fit her. You can then apply it as amorhp to the clothing (spawn morph). The save to the library. Now the item is saved and has a "fit Judy" morph.

The ones that bug me are shoes.  Make any change in the length of the leg and they
don't fit anymore.  And unfortunately shoes don't work in the cloth room. So it's
basically turning the shoes into a prop and then fiddling with the X Y and Z
translates and rotates to get the shoes onto the feet and then parenting the
shoes to the feet.  Boots and long stocking, forget about it.

I think that if you can select the leg portions of the shoe figure, and scale them the same as you scaled the figure's legs, it should put them back into place.

But don't quote me on that. 😉
