hi all!
i'm wanting to apply some tatoos to some characters (v3, m3, ect meshes) and wanted to know is there a script that will copy the texture template or where would it be so i can make a copy?
i am wanting the actual texture templates that have the shading and coloring (not just the lines!)...thanks so much!

If you have P5 or P6 you can add the tattoo using nodes in the material room, see

And textures are generally placed within the Runtime:textures folder, often with an additional folder inside for a specific character.

Sorry. As a texturer, when I see the word template, I think the lines. Not the skin.
But modus0 got you the correct answer.

wow...this tutorial by quinlor is right on the money:
http://www.quinlor.de/tutorials/tattoo.html
but how in the heck do you get the skin node!? i'm able to produce another image map node and a color map node...but where is the skin node??? i'm using poser 6.

It's under Lighting: Special.
Although I've found that using a Color Math node works just as good, and is pretty much essential if you want multiple tattoos in one material area (like on the torso).

wow... this is great! the tattoos are going on baby!!!
another question though that really goes back to my original question in regards to m3 and v3 figures. when i load up v3 and go to the material room and use the eye dropper on her body i don't get a image map to pick from...they are using just a diffuse color (???). how do we go about appling tattoos to the v3 and m3 characters?
ahhh! you answered my question at the top didn't you modus? lol!
thanks all! don't forget top clean your needles!!!

The default colors of M3 and V3 don't use textures, you have to add one with an image node, like the tutorial you linked to has it set up.
And any texture sets you have for the character, which are usually in the Pose folder and called a MAT file will automatically do this for then entire character.
