Hi... me again!

Did you EVER had THIS problem???

I`m in a project and have created 9 Lights.

O.K.... I want to create the 10th..... well, yeah.... its THERE..... i can move it, i can position it.

But i can not see the RESULTING Light!

I tried to switch the intensity to 500%.... Nothing!

I changed between all lighttypes..... Nothing!

Its like a demonspell...... i cannot SEE my 10th light SHINE!

Don`t get me wrong.... i can handle this light.

But there is no SHINE!

Help me somebody! THIS is a nightmare i can`t understand!

Thanx!

And to Phil... your page is cool!

Poser preview does not support more than 8 lights unfortunately. They will render nice but you cannot see what they look like in the preview. I am actually surprised you can see 9th light :) Michal 4blueyes

BIG Thanx 4Blueeyes!!!!!!!!!

THAT.... i did NOT know! So.... if i got you right: Its kinda "Blindflight" from the 8th Light on, hmm?

Btw: May be i`ve counted not right  ;-) ....... Fact is: I cannot see any more light i add. NOW.... i understand why.

But.... i feel this like a little Bug..... if one has complex scenes.... he has to GUESS how it will look like.... or render as hell to see what will happen.

Thanx again, Factor

@ Paklet:

"dang, all the ball-balancing I've had to do..;) good ta know, thanks (don't call me Pakled for nothing..;)"

You know WHAT? For a german guy with medium english-knowledge..... your words are simply: CHINESE!

That does not help...... otherwise: as i learned up above.... Poser can only PREVIEW 8 Lights.....

Thats what its all about!

But if someone knows additional hints for this (i call it BUG): You`re welcome!

But: Please ......not in chinese....

Thanx, Factor

Why on earth do you need nine lights? One with AO  and another for shadows is plently.
All having massive amounts of lights does is vastly increase your render time.

@ dbowers: Why on earth do I need nine lights?"

Hey...thats NOT overstyling!!!! I`ve studied photography.... and.... depending on the scene..... you even have to use MUCH MORE Lights than 8!

Best example (for natural lighting): You get a lot of commercial Lightsets within Contentpackages....

There are sometimes up to 20 or more lights!!!!

Imagine: A scene in a room 30 Meters to 50 Meters.... Ballroom or what. You will be lost with one AO and one for shadows!!!! When it comes to the point to exactly point spotlights on things.... you HAVE TO use lots of Lightsources!

If you like to...... today at 8:00 PM i`ll post that scene..... now with NINE lights (one is "Blindflight")

That piece will be named: " The Librarian Part II "........

There you have that large room...... But...... everybody should do like he wants to,

It was just a question.... and i`ve got a good answer on it( see up above)

Quote - Poser can only PREVIEW 8 Lights.....

Replace "Poser" with "OpenGL" and you have answer: OpenGL can only preview 8 Lights.
