hi all!
when importing an object that will used as a prop, i want to be able to go into the material tab in poser and be able to assign a different material to each obj.
for instance: my prop is forearm armour, and in my 3d program it is made up of 4 different parts...armour, buckles, straps, strap anchor. i want to be able to go into the poser material tab and assign a texture/map to each one of those items that make up the forearm armour.
how would i do that?
i don't know how i did it earlier but i imported an obj prop that was made up of two items (buckle, belt) and it imported as one obj file...but when i went into the material tab i was able to click on the different parts of the belt.obj (ie; the belt and the buckle) and assign different maps to those. now i cannot replicate that happy accident! lol!
when i export from my 3d program i export as a obj and by groups. though i am not sure if i need my seperate parts that make up the obj file "grouped" or just as seperate polys...i've tried both ways.
thanks all!
