I've been meaning to post this for a long time now, but kept forgetting (you know how it goes..)If you want inspiration for clothing design, you could do worse than check out the above link:-)
FirstView is a site dedicated (mainly) to fashion shows.
The site's main feature is the photos taken at fashion shows (mostly catwalk/runway photos).
Virtually every fashion designer in the world can be found there, with their shows, going back (some of them) to at least 1996.
Caveat:
The site is poorly maintained. It is riddled with blind/wrong links (I suspect they maintain it by getting some youngster to do cut'n'paste on the existing HTML pages...). Trying to get to some opf them is a PITA...
But, OTOH, there's literally 1,000's of photos available (errm - make that 10,000's - maybe more) from fashion shows from all sorts of designers, throughout the world.
Don't expect to visit the site and see it all in a couple of hours. I guarantee you it will take you several days (if not weeks) to see all the content.
As I said, for clothing modellers, for inspiration (and for anyone else who likes looking at fashion shows - but that's a side-issue..
And (most of) it is free:-))
(They have a policy whereby the "latest stuff" can only be viewed by paying, but the charge is monsterous, and anyway, most of it comes into the free area after approx 6 months. If they remember. And sometimes they forget to protect the supposedly "pay-only" areas)...
Hope it helps somebody...
Cheers,
Diolma
