yeah, strobing or flashing banners annoy the hell out of me. sure, it gets peoples attention - but in an entirely negative way.

Flash banners?  Personally I can take 'em or leave 'em.  Six of one, half dozen of the other -- at least the way that Rendo does them.

The point at which I would begin to object would be if Rendo started to resemble Yahoo.  Or any of lots of other sites which are built like Yahoo......but one small banner located at the top of the screen don't bother me none.  However: I have to admit that flashing commercial banners scattered about throughout the body of a thread can be somewhat distracting -- but even then: I don't really care about it.  LawnDartLawnDart......tips hat.......😉👍

Moving avatars can be entertaining at times.  Don't ask me why.......but for some odd, quirky reason -- my day has never been ruined by a small banner at the top of a webpage -- even when it might have moved a little.  I guess that I'm just different that way.  Although I suspect that most of the web surfers who breeze though here from time to time probably don't care much about it, either.

Quote of the day:

Quote - Look folks, it says "As seen on TV."  To me, that makes it much more legitimate than anything merely web-oriented.  In fact, I believe it right away.  Why? Because my TV screen is larger than my computer screen - it simply HAS to be more reliable.

LOLOL!!! LMAO!!

I just realized that I haven't been seeing any non-rendo ads for a while. Maybe Norton got smarter? :D

It's weird, because I do remember seeing offiste ads a while ago. Not lately, though. shrugs

@ Angelsinger --

LillianH posted just a few posts above: stating that the outside ads have been turned off -- at least for a while.

I find moving ads incredibly annoying.  (Ditto for most animated avatars.)  I find it hard to read text when there's something jumping or flashing on the page.  Before Firefox, I would actually re-size the browser window to cut off animated ads.

With Firefox, I so rarely see ads that they're even more aggravating when I do see them.

But I don't mind the Poser-related ads, if they don't move.  I block them all while I'm work, because I don't want people to think I'm looking at pr0n.  But I've let the JPGs through again at home.  (GIFs and SWFs are still blocked.)

Guess what, as soon as I posted that, I saw a nonrendo ad. lmfao! I spoke too soon!
