Can anyone please help! I cannot unistall Poser 6. It is not in the uninstall programs panel and does not work directly from Poser, either. I need to reinstall it because its not working but cannot get it to uninstall. Help appreicated.

What I had to do with Poser 5 once was to install it again so that it did appear in the control panel. For some reason it was showing up in the control panel but wouldn't uninstall. After installing it again over the earlier install, I was able to uninstall it.

Use Windows uninstaller or delete Poser6. That doesn´t matter if you want to install it again.

Sivana, I think that the problem is that the conventional methods don't work. With any luck, Acadia's suggestion will work.

have tried everything. I was able to uninstall in Safe mode, but upon reinstall the program is unstable and keeps crashing. Impossible to use.

Did you apply SR3? It's available at e-Frontier.
Do you have Quicktime installed? I heard that causes major issues.
I also remember someone having trouble with the way they had their display screen set. I think they had it set to 16 bit, but once they changed it to 32bit true colour, it worked better.
Have you updated your video drivers?
Have you gotten the Windows Updates?
Have you done a virus scan?
Do you have an earlier version of Poser as well? If so does that version work ok?
Have you checked this forum for posts about the issue? Maybe someone else posted with similar problems:

I think SR3 may have a bug in it. I had a problem with Poser 6 and the only way I could solve the problem was to wipe Poser 6 with Norton and reinstall.
I have found that it is wise to use a runtime on an external drive.
