I recently purchased and installed the download version of Vue 5 Esprit.

From the very first it would not import poser files (yes I located my poser directory), the materials show up in the material editor window and the figure shows up in the layers but whenever I try to access the imported figure Vue crashes back to the desktop with the "Vue has encountered an error and has to close" message. Same goes for importing objs.  My camera views go away and all I have is a white blank window.

Now if this onlyhappened with poser files I'd blame poser but it also happens whenever I try to open any of the Vue sample files that came with it on the extras.  I get nothing but a blank white screen, no camera views. The status bar down at the bottom moves along as it loads but as soon as it gets to 100% I lose my camera views even thought the nameof the file appears in the program title bar at the top.

It does NOT happen when I create a new Vue 5 file, save it and then open it again.

I have tried using wireframe, I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling several times. I have tried using wireframe and disabling hardware accelleration in my settings. I have tried running in Vue 5's so called "compatibility mode"

I have also already been around and around with tech support at e-on. The last thing they could tell me was that it was a problem with my machine, possibly a malfunctioning fan.

I'm cleaning off my C drive ATM to possibly attempt a reinstallation of Windows to see if that helps but I"m really hoping not to have to do that.

I'm hoping someone else has had a problem similar and has a solution.

Anyone???

Thanks!
Skye
