this will probably seem dense but as a newcomer to Poser I keep seeing all of these references to the "Posette" figure. Can someone please tell me which figure this is end end my suffering.

Posette is the standard female nude figure that comes with Poser. May you suffer no longer.

P4 nude female, the standard character that comes with Poser.

Posette is the nickname that the community has given to the P4 Nude Woman. You will also find that the P4 Nude Male has a nickname as well. His nickname is "dork."
