I work in Terragen and Bryce mostly, but I'd love to use terrains created with World Machine in Vue. I understood Vue could import Raw format files, but the raw files created by WM just crash my old Vue 4. Am I wasting my time, or is there another app capable of generating terrains for Vue?
Thank you
Paul

Vue doesn't support RAW terrain files, Carrara does fine with them (16 bit). Vue does best with tga height maps.
I have GeoControl, and it is excellent. Version 2 will have a street and river tool.

Thanks for that LCBoliou!
Time i had a good look at GeoControl for my own use, lol. Especially with those V2 features.
I recommend it because i've heard excellent reports about it and seen some nice work done with it.

To import World Machine terrains into Vue you should try the Povray-TGA option when saving the terrain in World Machine. It works in Vue 5, but I don't have Vue 4 to test.

Yes, that's how I'm doing it now, and it works great in Vue 4. I tried the raw files- just crashed the program.
