I got playing around last night (because the Clothes Designer didn't support MDP f202 and I wanted to work with her) and came up with this outfit using Wardrobe Wizard! http://www.planit3d.com/source/album_page.php?pic_id=8907
NO--MDP F202 does NOT have WW support.
How did I do this?
Magic. No, actually I cheated with some hard work.
If you do not have Terai Yuki, it won't work. I made a dummy to match F202's physique from TY2 and got it to wear F202's outfit, then converted some of TY2's outfits to F202.
In another thread, on Philc's forums, I saw something where a guy had converted a TEMPLE from one character to a wild looking set of surrealness of anothers' character using Wardrobe Wizard!!!
If he could do that--jeez, the sky's the limit and I'm only limited by my imagination!
I'm working on tweaking the FBM of Terai Yuki for release as a dummy for F202, and I'm not doing very well with it. It might be easier for some of you to do it yourself, than wait for me.
But!! It is doable!
The stuff one can come up with if you are suffeciently motivate to do so. LOL

I don't know if this is the kind of thing that might interest you, but I've noticed that Aiko's clothing, with some simple scaling fits virtually perfectly on MDP F-202. The downside is, you have to parent the clothing, versus have it conform, and it works better with tops (shirts, blouses, etc.) than bottoms (pants, etc.)
I've been scaling Aiko shirts at 80% size, then y-scaling them 120%. Adjust to position, and you'll see what I mean...it's a near fit. Now...if only I could get this stuff to conform right...
'Glad to see someone else here still plays with F-202! She's still one of my faves!
JOELGLAINE posted Fri, 01 September 2006 at 8:22 AM
Well--you can parent anything. I'm talking about real conforming clothes. Aiko's don't conform to F202 from my experiments, or any other, but I noticed that Terai Yuki's comes closest with a minimum of fiddling. Has to do with joint positions and such things.
Now I'm building a wardrobe for her! Wheeeeeeeee!
Now I just need to be able to replicate it on demand for the F202 fans out there!

No wardrobe as yet, but I got one! Nyahahaha! http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/39251432/ Main Figure in the render is MDP-F202 in Terai Yuki's GST outfit from EF. Not as much poke through as I feared, and Apparently I didn't need the extra steps of the closthes dummy. Just rescale and use the parameter dials to excess! Violia!

Could you explain your method step by step?
This could be great for all unsupported figures.

yeah, I'd like to know as well, - - - if you cared to share your technique, that is....

I did a full body morph of Terai Yuki to mimic MDP F202. That is to say.... in a fevered session of dial twirling and rescaling, I got Terai Yuki to approximate F202's shape. I do NOT know how to transfer it to another character (ie: I have a file full morphs (lshoulder, lupperarm, lforearm and etc.) and they have to be applied individually.) To share them I have to RTE encode them, zip them and then stick 'em on a file sharing place.
That's the bad news.
Good news is, that much trouble may not be neccessary! Some simple dial-tweaking on the TY clothing may be easier. The numbers will be in a future post, as soon as I get the numbers scribbled down for posting. IRL has been a pain, with poor health and overwork sapping my strength and sucking up my time.
I'll work on it tonight and try to post the numbers in the next day or two. I didn't know anyone cared about poor F202. SInce there is at least a couple, I'll work on it as time permits! ^__^ V,,

I am sure that f202 would be a lot more popular if she could be clothed.
There are probably more than 2 people following this thread.
If this idea could be copied for other figures then everybody with wardrobe wizard should be following this thread.

I meant 'couple' as 'at least some', not as a literal 2. I'll post the results of my transcribing the details in the morning.
As far as other figures go....don't know. The ONLY figure I could get to match up in ANY fashion with F202 was Terai Yuki. I spent the entire Labor Day weekend on this and have only one figure matching up some. The match is NOT 100%, either. The legs are still giving me fits, and the breasts are going to require magnet use. TY2's boobs are lower than F202's, but I did get a close 90-95% match up.
On general stuff to get started: Put a loose top on F202 from TY2's outfits. Conform, then increase the Y-axis scale on the abdomen to 176%. This will put the arms in the proper place. The x and z scales around the hips, abdomen and chest will vary some, but generally they are around 65 to 75% of TY2's.
If the outfit has breast controls, dial them up. That will help some.
That's all I can remember right now. Not having an internet connection at home is a pain. More tomorrow!

Take your time. No worries, we can afford a little patience.
Question is, will the settings survive an animation sequence.
(Some years back, I tried adjusting clothing from P4 female to M3, pre-Wardrobe Wizard days, sounds crazy huh ! I did get some renders done (single frame shots). My character was kind of gender-ambiguous with flowing robes and such, but as a newbie Poser Artist user those days, I really laboured. Ugh.)

"Animation"
Wowsers! Thje last frontier! Eeep.
I don't think so. Sorry. There is some poke through. About what you'd get in P4 figures with P4 clothes. It MIGHT survive, but I don't even have so much as a walk cycle for F202. Nothing to even test on.
I'll try tonight and see what happens

good to see some interest in f202, I've always liked the figure. so TY clothing fits as such? hafta look for some skirts and such and twist the dials...
that is once I end up rebuilding my pc- horrible coincidental death of the AGP slot while rendering with free Bryce 5. Both my own knowledge that it was a software render and not using my video card, as well as multiple outside assurances that it 'was just time to die' tell me it was coincidence; nonetheless I'm scared as hell to try that again. never a problem with either poser or daz studio
worst part is to somehow save the gigs of runtime before I have to redo my hd...!

First off--an Apology! Apparently not trying my mod with TY2 pants is a killer! F202 will NOT wear TY2 pants! I did dresses and blouses and didn't experiment fully.
I was SO happy to get F202 to wear SOMETHING I was carried away on the thrill of it! However---I found something else to do to get her to wear other clothes.
On TY2 tops (not bikinis or skin-tight wear) scale the abdomen to 178% Y axis, chest to 94% scale+x-axis to about 94% and z-axis to about 98%. THIS works on most tops for TY2, dependant on the mesh. Wierdly, a lot of meshes suffer distortion beyond these parameters, but not all.
Only experimenting can show you whether it'll do wierd things or not.
On the hips and down--that's where some experimentation came into it last night. F202 has some weirdy hip-bones ,join parameters and almost no-one's clothes come close to fitting.
Except Maya-Doll!
I got F202 into Maya-doll's pants last night (lol--sound like a render for the pr0n sites) and here is what I did--
Abdomen--rescale to 58% Y-scale 176% and Bend 14%
Hip-Y-scale 108%
Buttocks- Xscal 108%, Y scale 107, Z scale 109% <I tried to just increase scale 107% and the mesh went flooey. Adjusting the x,y,and z axises causes the mesh to react differently than just a global increase.
Thigh-Z scale 98%
Shin-Y scale 96%
More good news--F202 can wear most of MD's shoes and socks, though the one pair of boots I have for MD acted weirdly insane on F202.
I did get F202 into the China dress for MD, not NOT one with sleeves. The joint parameters of MD's arms do NOT sync with F202's, though TY2's DO. O_o
I'll download more MD stuff to experiment on for tonight. One of the problems of my experiments is a SEVERE lack of test material! I have TY2, but almost nothing for her. I don't even have MD, but had a couple of outfits that were free and never used.
I guess we're all lucky I had anything to experiment on at all. ^__^ V,, More tomorrow!
