We need a bit of action! Time to wake up!
Can I start a new challenge?

Hi Hanna
I'm all ears (not literally), but I don't know if you need the go-ahead from a Forum Moderator.
BTW, check your Site Mail again (on right of top banner) There's at least three messages there for you, and you should find some action there, too.

Hanna,
I'm usually pretty open to the forum members starting their own challenges if they want to. I run a semi-official monthly challenge (which I tend to be late on when the month starts on the weekend!), and I post the link to it up at the top of the forum. I may start posting links to the forum member challenges as well as they crop up. =)
And if you have any ideas for challenges, feel free to bounce them off me. I'd be glad to give you feedback.
Speaking of which, I need to start up a September challenge!

Hi David,
Well, I was thinking about a two weeks challenge (twice a month) of 500 words dialogue pieces, different prompt each time. After a few weeks the task gets harder - 250 words of dialogue.
This kind of writing forces you to concentrate on each word you put in. We can try later short stories without adjectives, then without adverbs. Very good exercises.
I think we have Halloween coming next month so in October we can use that. Any topic goes. Funny stuff as well. We can use the form of letters from the members as answers to a short appeal for advice. You'll be amazed at what members write. Must adhere to all proper writing rules, punctuation etc.
Will you run a challenge like that? I can supply prompt or short appeals for advice.
