I have created a seamless ground texture (1200 x 1200) and have applied it to a plane, but it doesn't look detailed enough in the foreground. Is the texture map large enough IYO?. I set the image X & Y image scale in Vue to 0.015 so it would tile. Any suggestions would be helpful?

The texture should be large enough, I suppose you checked the mirror box for the x and y axis?
Also, by plane, do you mean infinite plane? Did you try to map it to a cube to see if it looked better?
Do you have a matching bump map to apply to the plane so it looks less flat? If not, you could create a fractal bump and see if it gets better.

hhi maybe it woud help for you.. you can scale down or up the texture size on nen object (material editor)

bruno021 Good idea about adding a bump to the texture. I checked the x and y mirror boxes, but didn't notice any difference. Are the x and y for tiling the material? because the texture didn't tile any differently when I checked the x and y mirror boxes. What are they for? Thanks I will try and post an image tomorrow of the texture.

You didn't mention the version you're using but in thr V5I demo I played with you could go into the I think Basic editor [the one with just 3 windows] and apply the colour map also as a bump and adjust it's height right there. Very Imagine3D like that, found it very handy with bitmap textures....
