LOL, well, when I was younger and had long hair I frequently wore my hair like the girl with the carrot orange hair. Only mine wasn't carrot orange. I had boring Auburn.
Hmmm, come to think about it, until I recently got my hair cropped mega short, it had grown considerably and I found myself wearing it like that again, either that or in one ponytail on top of my head.
I really like the bottom image, far right, top row style.

I have been costume hunting for Halloween and these are some pics of wigs at buycostumes.com I would love to get one for my costume, but had a thought would also like some hair like that for gothic renders.

3Dream's Paradise Hair would more than likely let you do quite a few of the ponytail styles with the right texture and morphs applied to it. But it would be interesting to see some of the other models.

I've no particular answers for this stuff, but there's Poser hair I see which looks oddly unusual. Look at the Ponytails that DAZ sell, and they're all set higher than I see on the street, a little too exotic. It goes back to the Poser 4 (and earlier?) Female hair 2. OK, I live in rural England, and it's ordinary middle-aged people not so different from me, rather than the apparent Poser baseline of an American movie-star wannabe, but I don't see this as being age-related, no for the people I see on a British street. If it comes to that, some of the pictures I've seen with that sort of high-set ponytail have been very definitely fetishistic. OK, so it's personal; choice. But Poser people ought to have the choice too.

Yes, that one looks promising, the mushroom hair, and I can see where the Paridise hair might accomidate some of the styles as well. I am not one who can create hair (yet, LOL) I thought it would be interesting to see if anyone could create some like it though. Food for thought. LOL

The hairstyle under the orange can be done easily with the right textures using Future Hair. Or Wild Hair. If you MUST have the fringe, Fabi's Kiri-Te at 3DC would work in a pinch, although it isn't as straight
Antonia: I also live in the UK, in the sticks or thereabouts :) Mine is a retirement area in the South Coast, and the last time I went to the most "daring" hairdresser in town and requested red highlights, I came out with natural looking stuff, because they couldn't conceive I would want real red. Yet I go clubbing to Brighton, and I see styles like those pictured above and more; keep in mind that the poster is asking for styles related to a specific subculture, which also happens to be quite popular in the poserverse. And in the UK, if you know where to look. Best thing I've seen so far? a short crop on a friend of mine, in bright pink with leopard spots :)

I can see the future hair working for that style, that is a great idea, as soon as I can purchase that hair, I will try it. Thanks :thumbupboth:

LOL! Sorry for that.
It only means I'm bookmarking the page to be able to follow the development of the subject.
I am experimenting some with, what I call "fashion fantasy hair" and they are very much like the hair in you images. I am doing them in the Poser hair room.

Awesome, I can't wait to see some of your hair when it is done. Cool beans!

I modified the texture to get this look. And, yes, I know. the render was a screw up. Bad shadows, missing material nodes and much much more.

Thank you, I just bought the hair, now I need to save up for the Magic for Fleur Hair at Daz. The white texture and morphs one would do wonders for some of these hair styles. Thanks to all that have suggested all the hair types to try. I will have to use them and see what I can come up with. Thanks bunches.
