Okay,
I know on erotica, Montyhack has a headless prop, but I have been unsuccessfuly in downloading it (broken link/page not found), and I just tried hiding the head on a character, and that does not look right.
SO, does anyone have any tips on how to create a prop that shows a characters neck and head AFTER it's been in a guillotine (using this for a medieval scene)?
Any ideas and help would be appreciated.
Thanks

Some of MontyHack's stuff is still available, but I can't link you to it directly (at this site) all I can say is "cybrotica", the rest you have to figure for yourself.

this is a bit of a fake, not a prop but I did an image like this on rotica a few years ago. I took the figure's head and bent it back into the body a full180 degrees and that left a stump on the neck. I then positioned a spare head from the library where I needed it. If you want I can send images of the turn in progress. Hope this helps. Life is like juggling three rabid badgers.... if you don't get torn up in the process, it's a beautiful thing!

Why not just select the body of the figure you want and export just that, leaving the head out. Make sure it's positioned the way you want it and export it as an obj file. Bring it back in, texture, clothe and your done. You can always add in some effects to the neck in PS or what ever image program you use! That way you have a headless figure with all of it's clothes and textures that still work you just won't be able to move it around unless you know how to rig it up.

Select his head. Click in the menu Object, Properties. Unselect "visible" and "casts shadows".

I think Davos or BeyondBent used to have some body stump props and decapitaed arms, try searching that well known adult poser store or http://www.bbay.com/cfwebstore/.

A possibility is exporting the figure as Wavefront .OBJ, importing it into a modeler that supports Boolean operations, and then create a Boolean difference with a cube. Save the result as .OBJ, import into Poser, and voila, a headless corpse.
You'd have to UVmap the new surface and make a suitable bloody texture yourself (or use P5/P6 procedurals).
You can use the same procedure to create the chopped off head.

One thing useful would be to "replace body part by prop" to replace the head by a flat surface where the neck has been cut.I do not like mutilation effects. My experience with bodyless limbs is in cases of polymelia: see this link

I once wanted a headless humanoid as a monster. I hid the head of the figure and put in a cylinder scaled to block off the top of the neck and fill the hole.

I actually went a little further and made a free prop for Dork, spurred by this discussion.
It's available at my homepage. :o)
I chose not to show the texture on the thumbnail, it looks rather... bloody... But the texture and displacement map IS included. Just not shown.
